Pre-Wedding Skincare Timeline: Start 3 Months Out
A realistic, week-by-week skincare plan for Lahore brides — what to start three months before the wedding, what to stop, and when to book your treatments.

Skin doesn't glow on command. If your wedding is three months away, you are in the sweet spot — enough runway to actually fix pigmentation, texture and dullness, but not so far out that you lose momentum. The brides who look lit-from-within on their barat didn't get lucky; they followed a plan. Here's the one we use at Rabbiz Salon in DHA Phase 3, broken down week by week so you know exactly what to do (and more importantly, what to stop doing) between now and the big day.
Month 3: Diagnose, Don't Experiment
The first four weeks are for assessment, not aggressive treatments. This is when brides make their biggest mistake — panic-buying ten new products and starting them all on the same Tuesday. Don't.
Week 1–2: Book a proper skin consultation
Sit down with a professional and get an honest read on your skin: are you dealing with post-acne pigmentation, dehydration, open pores, uneven tone, or a mix? Lahore skin in particular tends to carry pollution-related dullness and a bit of melasma along the cheekbones. A deep cleansing session is a smart starting point because it clears the slate so you can actually see what you're working with.
Week 3–4: Lock in your at-home basics
Pare your routine down to five non-negotiables:
- A gentle cleanser (morning and night)
- A vitamin C serum in the morning
- A hydrating moisturiser
- SPF 50, reapplied — yes, even indoors near windows
- A retinoid or gentle exfoliating acid at night, 2–3 times a week
Introduce these one at a time, five days apart. If something stings, flakes or breaks you out, you need to know which product did it.
Month 2: Treatments That Do The Heavy Lifting
Now we build. This is the phase where in-salon work compounds beautifully with your home routine.
Week 5–6: Start your facial series
One facial a month before the wedding is not enough. Aim for a course of 3–4 sessions spaced 2–3 weeks apart. The type matters — a brightening or hydrating facial suits most brides, but if you're acne-prone, go for something clarifying first and brightening later. Avoid starting a brand-new facial technology (microneedling, intense peels) that you've never tried before. Month two is for proven treatments, not experiments.
Week 7–8: Address body skin
Brides forget that lehengas show arms, back, décolletage and often the midriff. Start polishing or body bleach sessions now if you need evenness on these areas. A monthly body massage also does more than relax you — improved circulation shows up as healthier-looking skin and better sleep, which is the cheapest glow enhancer that exists.
This is also the right window to begin regular hair removal in your preferred method, whether that's organic sugar waxing or threading. Consistent cycles reduce ingrowns by the wedding week.
Month 1: Refine, Don't Reinvent
The final four weeks are about polish, not transformation. If a treatment is new to you, it does not belong here.
Week 9–10: Final facial and targeted work
Schedule your second-to-last facial around three weeks out. If you've been doing peels or any resurfacing work, this is your last window — nothing aggressive after this point. Any pigmentation spot treatments, lightening serums or retinoid strength increases should already be in play; don't push the dose now.
Also: book your bridal trial if you haven't. Doing it with 3–4 weeks to spare means you can tweak the look without panic.
Week 11: The quiet week
Seven to ten days out, your skin needs calm, not stimulation. Stop all actives — retinol, strong acids, scrubs. Switch to a stripped-back routine of cleanser, hydrating serum, moisturiser and SPF. Drink more water than feels reasonable. Sleep seven hours minimum. This is also when you want your final threading and any facial hair removal — about 3–4 days before any major event so redness settles.
Week 12: Wedding week
- 5–7 days before: A final gentle, hydrating facial — nothing extractive, nothing new.
- 3–4 days before: Threading, any touch-ups, medi-pedi.
- 48 hours before: Final cleansing if desired, plus a sheet mask or two at home.
- Day before: Nothing on your face except your tested routine. Early night. No alcohol, minimal salt.
What To Stop Doing Immediately
Some of the fastest wins come from subtraction, not addition:
- Skipping SPF. Three months of daily SPF will do more for your wedding photos than any serum.
- Trying viral TikTok hacks. Lemon juice, baking soda, toothpaste on pimples — none of it belongs on bridal skin.
- Overexfoliating. More than three acid or scrub sessions a week is why your skin looks irritated and dull at the same time.
- Last-minute injectables or threads. If you've never had them, your wedding is not the trial run.
- Crash dieting. It shows in your face before it shows anywhere flattering.
Lifestyle: The Multipliers
Skincare is maybe 60% of the result. The rest is boring and non-negotiable: sleep, water, protein, and stress management. Lahore brides juggling dholkis, fittings, in-law lunches and work deadlines are often running on four hours of sleep and three cups of chai — and then wondering why their skin looks tired. Protect your sleep like it's a salon appointment. Walk 30 minutes a day. Eat protein at every meal so your skin has the raw material to repair itself.
If you follow even 80% of this timeline, you'll walk into your signature bridal appointment with skin that takes makeup beautifully — because the makeup isn't doing the heavy lifting. Your three months of quiet, consistent work is.
