Quick Get-Ready Routine for Working Women in Lahore
A realistic 20-minute morning routine for Lahore's working women — skincare, hair and makeup that survives traffic, humidity and back-to-back meetings.

If your alarm goes off at 7:15 and you need to be in a Gulberg office by 9 — looking polished, not panicked — you don't need a 12-step routine. You need a system. The women I see at Rabbiz most mornings don't want more products; they want fewer, smarter ones that behave in Lahore's humidity, survive a hot car and still read 'put-together' at a 4 pm client meeting.
Here's the exact 20-minute routine I give our regulars in DHA Phase 3. It assumes you showered the night before (if you didn't, you still have time — I'll flag the shortcuts).
The 20-Minute Framework
Think of your morning as four blocks, not a long to-do list:
- Skin — 4 minutes
- Hair — 5 minutes
- Face — 8 minutes
- Finish & scent — 3 minutes
Total: 20 minutes, with buffer for the one morning your toddler spills milk on your kurta. The trick is doing them in parallel where possible — hair air-dries while you do skincare, SPF sets while you pick earrings.
Skin: 4 Minutes, Non-Negotiable
Lahore's air is harsh. Dust, pollution, hard water and the jump from AC to 38°C outside is why your foundation slides and your pores look larger by Thursday. Keep mornings minimal and protective.
The Four Steps
- Gentle cleanse — a splash of water and a gel cleanser. Skip the heavy foam in the morning; you'll strip your skin and overcompensate with oil by lunch.
- Hydrating toner or essence — pat in with hands, don't swipe with cotton.
- Vitamin C or niacinamide serum — pick one, not both. Vitamin C for dullness, niacinamide if you're oily or breakout-prone.
- SPF 50 moisturiser — this is the single most important step for women over 25 in Pakistan. Non-negotiable, even on cloudy days, even if you drive with tinted windows.
If your skin is feeling dull or congested from the pollution, book a monthly deep facial or a quick cleansing session — it resets everything and makes your home routine work twice as hard.
Hair: 5 Minutes, Three Options
The fastest-looking hair is clean hair from the night before. Wash at night, sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase, and in the morning you need almost nothing.
Option A — The Low Bun (90 seconds)
Brush, add a pea-size of smoothing serum to the ends, twist into a low bun at the nape. Pull two face-framing pieces loose. Looks intentional, holds through heat.
Option B — The Half-Up Clip (3 minutes)
Texture spray at the roots, backcomb lightly at the crown, clip the top half back with a tortoiseshell claw. Add a quick wave to the two front sections if you have an extra minute.
Option C — The Blow-Dry Fake (5 minutes)
Dry shampoo at roots, flip head upside down and brush. Round-brush just the front hairline with a hairdryer for 60 seconds. This is the illusion of a fresh blow-dry.
If your hair is thinning around the parting or you're spending 20 minutes every morning trying to add volume, that's a hair health conversation. Our hair treatments team does a scalp assessment that often solves what styling can't.
Face: 8 Minutes, Office-Ready
This is where most women either over-do it (full glam at 8 am) or under-do it (just kajal and lip balm) and feel underdone by their 11 am meeting. The sweet spot is 'groomed, not made-up.'
The Eight-Product Face
- Tinted moisturiser or skin tint — not full-coverage foundation. In Lahore's humidity, heavy base is why you look greasy by noon.
- Concealer — only where you need it: inner corners, around the nose, one blemish. Tap in with a finger.
- Cream blush — on the apples of the cheeks and a touch on the eyelids. One product, two uses.
- Brow gel — a tinted gel is faster than pencil and powder. Keep brows shaped professionally every 2–3 weeks so morning brow is a 10-second job.
- Mascara — one coat on top lashes. Skip bottom lashes if you're in a rush; it saves two minutes.
- Lip and cheek tint — same product on lips as cheeks, if you're really pressed.
- Setting powder — only on T-zone. Dusting your whole face kills the glow.
- Setting spray — the step most women skip. In Lahore, it's the difference between makeup lasting 4 hours and 10.
Keep brows and upper lip tidy with a quick threading appointment every two weeks — ten minutes at the salon saves you ten minutes of camouflage every morning.
Finish & Scent: 3 Minutes
- Earrings and watch — small gold studs or hoops. One pair you never take off is the laziest, chicest move.
- Hand cream — your hands are on display in every meeting. Keep a tube in your car.
- Perfume — spray on pulse points before you dress, so it doesn't stain fabric.
- Final mirror check — teeth, between-eye concealer, top of hair for flyaways.
Weekly Maintenance That Makes Mornings Faster
The real secret to a 20-minute morning isn't speed — it's doing the slow things on the weekend so weekdays stay simple:
- Sunday night: hair mask, exfoliation, nail tidy-up
- Every 2 weeks: threading, blow-dry or hair trim
- Every 3–4 weeks: proper medi-pedi — chipped toes and ragged cuticles make even a great outfit look tired
- Monthly: facial and a scalp treatment
Women who maintain this cadence don't 'get ready' every morning — they finish a look that's already 70% done.
When You Have a Big Day
For presentations, client dinners or events after work, don't try to transform your face at 6 pm in an office bathroom. Book a quick party makeup touch-up on your way — we're ten minutes from most DHA and Gulberg offices, and a 25-minute pro refresh beats anything you'll do with a tired hand and bad lighting.
That's it. Twenty minutes, four blocks, a routine that respects the fact that you have a job to do.
